This year the advent calendar is available as a knitting option or a crochet option, the patterns create the same items, just adapted to whichever craft you choose.

The advent calendar includes three patterns; an incredible giant stocking, a matching hat, scarf and fingerless mittens set or a giant paper chain decoration. All three patterns are beginner friendly. In this seasons most enviable colour combination (if we do say so ourselves) 

The calendar includes 24 mini balls taking you right from the 1st December through to the 24th.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE PATTERNS:

All patterns involve colour changing each day for the next ball of yarn. All patterns are knit or crochet flat, there is no working in the round in any patterns. For the knitted calendar you have the option of selecting circular needles straight needles depending on your preference.

Easiest: Giant paper chain, this pattern is a simple knit stitch or double crochet stitch only, with some seaming and is a super easy and satisfying project which will grow each day until Christmas.

Still Easy: The matching hat, scarf and fingerless mittens set. This pattern is great for beginners that want to stretch their skills a little. The knitted version involves knit + purl stitches, one simple increase stitch and seaming. The crochet version involves single crochet, half double crochet, working in the back loop and seaming. Both include optional Pom Pom making too.

Still Easy: The giant stocking is a perfect way to stretch your beginner skills. The knitted version involves knit and purl stitch, increases, decreases and seaming. The crochet version involves half double crochet, working through the back loop, increases, decreases and seaming. Both include optional Pom Pom making too.
